...:..."Not All That Glitters Is Gold!"...:...
My 8th grade Class Speech:
As we walked through the doors in August we had one thing on our mind...Graduation. But, as the days went on we realized
that there was more to our last middle school year that met the eye. This would be the bridge between our adolescent years
and our young adulthood. As we go on with out lives we have learned not to "burn the bridge" but to build the bridge. As we
go on we will always take with us the memories of the people who have truly made an impact on our lives..(this is where I
explain every1's characteristics) We came together this year despite differences and formed a year that will leave an everlasting
impression on our hearts and in our minds. William Arthur Ward, a wise man, once said, "If you can imagine it, you can achieve
it. If you dream it, You can become it." Before we begin to take steps in our life, we must remember that success is not only
a destination but also a journey and a dream. We have learned that in this generation honesty and integrity are not simply
outdated, but should be the foundation on which we build our community and our lives. As the class of 2002 we would like to
leave you with a message:
Dare to love, Dare
to live, But most importantly, Dare to Dream
